R.I.P. Ultimate Warrior

Warrior (born James Brian Hellwig; June 16, 1959 – April 8, 2014)

Sadly yet another one of the superstars of Professional Wrestling has passed away. Warrior aka James Hellwig was famously known for his over the top promos and face make up/arm streamers as he charged to the ring. Over the past decade he transitioned from the ring to the inter webs stirring up controversy over his commentary on politics and other former wrestlers. He also inspired many of his fans with his work out videos and speeches about personal responsibility. He was definitely an inspiration for a lot of my fellow metal heads. This past weekend, Warrior was inducted to WWE's Hall of Fame. He spent about an hour at the podium responding to his critics and praising his fans. On Monday night, less than 24 hours before his death he performed his last promo as the Ultimate Warrior. The following is an excerpt from that promo.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever."

Warrior passed away at the hospital last night after collapsing while walking with his wife. He leaves behind two daughters. We wish the family and his friends are condolences. Below is a video of Warrior's online web show with Asking Alexandria.
